Bidding for BDUK Projects & the Better Broadband Scheme
Connaught Rooms, London: 28 Feb 2017
Altnets with a rural focus have an opportunity to win funding under BDUK schemes. £150m is available in current BDUK procurements, with another £400m of gainshare funding from the original BDUK contracts potentially available. Connection vouchers are offered under the Better Broadband Scheme. This workshop is designed to help Altnets get through the bidding maze. Participants will get guidance on how to win procurements, the value for money tests and how the Better Broadband scheme is working. Speakers include representatives from BDUK, INCA and from successful bidders. More information and online registration.
NGA Compliance for Local Access Providers
Connaught Rooms, London: 1 March 2107
Local providers can face hurdles in demonstrating that their networks pass muster when it comes to NGA compliance. Its is an issue that affects operators bidding for BDUK projects and others responding to Open Market Reviews. This seminar will explain the criteria, BDUK’s process, how operators can demonstrate compliance and the help that is available through INCA. More information and online registration.
Local Authority Supplier Engagement Events
2017 will be another important year in the development of superfast broadband services across the UK. As the phase 1 and 2 projects complete to deliver the 95% coverage target by the end of the year, the phase 3 procurements are also taking place.
This is an important opportunity for INCA members, and we think it is important that local authorities have an opportunity to discuss their requirements with the independent sector before they go out to formal procurement to allow for open discussion.
INCA is working with BDUK to run a series of engagement sessions as the projects finalise their requirements and expectations. The first event in this strand was on Cranfield campus on 22nd February, working in partnership with Central Superfast, and was a solid success. The next planned event is in Cardiff on April 6.
INCA members and others interested in this opportunity are encouraged to attend, and sponsorship opportunities are available for members who want to promote their capabilities in this area.
