The Judging Panel

We have assembled an expert and talented panel of judges to assess all the nominations that have been submitted for this year's awards programme. We are very grateful to each of them for their generosity and willingness to help us to deliver an outstanding inaugural Awards programme.

 

Annelise Berendt, Point Topic

Annalise BerendtAnnelise is a senior analyst at Point Topic, the leading broadband market intelligence provider, where she has been tracking superfast broadband developments for the past three years or more. Her expertise covers next-generation player strategies and projects, industry and regulatory developments, and issues affecting rural and remote communities.

Annelise has 17 years’ experience in telecoms, broadcasting and new media research. She worked as a programme developer for the IIC Telecoms and Media Forum, an exclusive, high level event series, and spent eight years with Ovum, now part of the Informa Group, as a service manager and senior analyst. Before this she edited telecom and media industry magazines.

 

Ian Corden, Plum Consulting

Ian CordenIan has more than 20 years of experience in international strategy and technology in telecoms. Ian has held senior positions at PwC Strategy Consulting (TMT) London, and Coopers & Lybrand MCS (Telecoms), with extensive hands-on practical experience of infrastructure delivery in CTO, NGN Programme Director and IT/Digital Transformation Director roles.

 

Itret Latif, Federation of Communications Services

Itret LatifItret was appointed interim chief executive of the Federation of Communication Services in 2017. Itret has more than 18 years industry leadership regulatory and policy development expertise in telecoms. With an extensive energy utility background, Itret has held several leading non-exec director roles in both the telecoms and energy sectors.

 

 

Lorne Mitchell, Objective Designers

Lorne MitchellLorne is Managing Director of Objective Designers and a seasoned operational strategy and marketing consultant to the telecoms, media and technology industries. He also has a wealth of experience in shaping and running change programmes for many clients across various cultures. Previously, Lorne has also held senior operational and consulting roles in BT, MCI, AT&T, KPN, PwC and ISM.

 

 

Chris Pateman, Consultant

Chris PatemanChris has more than 30 years’ experience in the B2B sector and is the former CEO of the Federation of Communications Services. A former business journalist, he spent five years in business development with a national buying group and invoice factoring hub before joining the Builders Merchants Federation as managing director in 2007. In this role, he managed both a national trade association and a market-leading training business.
