Future Networks Seminar

WeTheCurious, Bristol, 10 July 2.00 pm - 4.30 pm

Following a successful INCA seminar discussing SDN/NFV on HMS Belfast in London and subsequent round table discussion at CityFibre, we are working with leaders from the Bristol Smart Internet Lab and others to run a follow up seminar in Bristol on 10th July.

Earlier this year Bristol hosted the first 5G testbed public demo involving the Smart Internet Lab of Bristol University, We the Curious science centre and the Watershed film, cultural and digital media centre. Bristol is also an important the centre of activities for a number of INCA members.

The Future Networks seminar will focus on the nuts and bolts of new technical approaches to network management delivering new services, better value for business partners and customers, and greater efficiency in operations. With INCA members actively involved in various Bristol projects this is a good opportunity to tie together various strands.

The seminar will be open to the INCA community and will discuss perspectives from operators, developers and vendors on future network management including SDN, network slicing, new approaches to provisioning and the potential for new marketplaces for services. Participants will learn more about the Bristol 5G Testbed project from people directly involved in the process.
