Join leaders from the Scottish Government and telecoms sector in Edinburgh to discuss Scotland's Future Digital Infrastructure.
Fergus Ewing, MSP will give the keynote speech, heading an excellent speaker panel including representatives of public sector bodies and key private sector digital infrastructure providers. This will be a great opportunity to discuss the latest state of play with key initiatives including R100 and other public and private sector initiatives.
Justin Leese of DCMS will give an overview of the Local Full Fibre Network and 5G Testbed programmes alongside Scottish projects that have successfully won funding. Leading private sector providers including Openreach, CityFibre and Hyperoptic will discuss their plans to extend new fibre networks into Scottish communities.
We will also hear from innovative wireless broadband providers delivering new small cell urban projects, and broadband services in some of the hardest to reach areas.
UKWISPA and INCA will launch a report into Spectrum for Wireless ISPs, by Plum Consulting.
This event is designed to:
- Share the latest information about Scottish Government plans for R100 and Aligned Interventions.
- Share information about Scottish involvement in UK government programmes such as LFFN, 5G testbeds, and the voucher scheme.
- Share information about local full fibre and wireless projects, with case studies from operators.
- Provide a networking opportunity for participants, and build on the energy of the Scottish digital infrastructure sector.
