The era of GPL Switching and Wholesale is fast approaching. The work to complete Ofcom’s consultation on GPL Switching has been through several iterations via the workprogramme ably hosted by OTA2.
We expect Ofcom's statement on GPL to be made before Xmas 20 and that will be followed by a short consultation.
Consumer messaging on All-IP Migration has launched and the first 2 tranches of 169 exchanges have been announced. The 3rd tranche is expected in Jan 21.
INCA is heavily involved in cross-industry groups in OTA2, Openreach and BSG. INCA’s own Switching, Wholesale and IP Migration Special Interest Group – SWSIG – has a work program on standardisation and technical aspects.
