Following the GigaTAG report, Ofcom has setup a Working Group on Common standards for consumer information describing broadband products. This meets regularly online and has the objective:
To develop and agree common standards [for consumer information] the WG members will adopt and recommend.

Ofcom is aiming to reach a consensus by early 2022. They may commission research into the WG's ideas. The proposals will go to consultation with the aim of publishing a voluntary Code in mid-2022.
INCA's Standards Group meets the week before each Ofcom meeting so that INCA Members views can be collated. Clearly the Ofcom Code will shape how the industry can market its products and services to consumers so it is very important for INCA Members to help shape the discussions.
